Accessing The Document View

Acquire images and use the Document View to display page thumbnails and detailed technical information about each page.

Start ScanToPDF, on the menu click View >> Document view

A new tab will open showing the Document View window as shown below

Use the Page numbering icon (left hand side of toolbar) to choose between Document page numbers (page # relative to each document) and Batch page numbers (page # relative to the batch)

Use the View dropdown to control what is displayed in the tree (Barcodes, ADR Results, OCR Results, Variables)

Use the Filter free text search to search for any value in the page navigator tree

Use the Re-process capture batch icon to process the acquired images (usually after making an adjustment to settings for example)

When images are acquired a page thumbnail will appear in the thumbnail pane (left hand side) for each page and the page navigator tree will be populated with a branch for each page (right hand side) as shown below

The page navigator branches will show different information for each page

a label SOURCE and the source type and the source file name.
a label BARCODE and the barcode type and value
a label OCR and the number of OCR tokens recognised
a label VAR (VARIABLE), the variable name, the value assigned to the variable and the data type
a label ADR and the ADR (automatic document recognition) match details

On each branch, click the branch to see more details. Right click any Page heading and choose Discover optimal barcode settings to launch the barcode discovery process to recognise all barcodes on any page. A Processing – please wait… message will be displayed whilst the barcode disovery process is underway. When the process is complete teh results of discovered barcodes will be displayed in table at the foot of the window. Choose the discovered barcode(s) that match the required barcode(s) using the checkbox(es) on the left most position of the column.

Click the Apply selected setting(s) button above the table. The required settings for the discovery of the selected barcode(s) will be applied as new multi-pass definition(s)
